The Apostle Paul had a disturbing way of following Jesus. There was that time he broke the labor laws of his day and stopped the exploitation of an enslaved girl. There was that time he sang and prayed his way out of jail, stopped his former jailer from committing suicide, and welcomed the man’s whole family into a relationship with Jesus Christ! You and I would not have much good news to share with the world if it weren’t for the disturbing love of God. A love that, through Jesus, disturbs death, interferes with hate, inhibits selfishness and troubles fear.

El apóstol Pablo tenía una manera perturbadora de seguir a Jesús. Hubo esa vez en que rompió las leyes laborales de su época y detuvo la explotación de una niña esclavizada. ¡Hubo esa vez en el que cantó y oró para salir de la cárcel, impidió que su ex carcelero se suicidara y dio la bienvenida a toda la familia del hombre a una relación con Jesucristo! Tú y yo no tendríamos muchas buenas noticias para compartir con el mundo si no fuera por el perturbador amor de Dios. Un amor que, a través de Jesús, perturba la muerte, interfiere con el odio, inhibe el egoísmo y altera el miedo.
