how to Contribute to Connecting

Connecting is the Episcopal Diocese of Atlanta’s platform for sharing stories, news and events from across our diocese. It is a place for sharing the wonderful work that is going on every day in the Episcopal Church in Middle and North Georgia. News and events are updated throughout the week to this website and subscribers will receive Connecting emails with featured items, linking them to the latest events and news on the Connecting website.  

We invite you to share the stories of joyful worship, compassionate service and spiritual growth in your parish and community. How are you expressing joyful worship? How are you serving the community? How is your spiritual life, personally or collectively, growing?

SUbmission Instructions

  1. Collect all relevant details prior to submission. (Note: dates, times, etc. are required for event submissions.)
  2. Proofread your submission.
  3. Include relevant photos, event flyers or other supplementary materials.
  4. Click the button to the right to begin.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the deadline for submissions?

There is no need to submit by a specific deadline. Events and news will be posted to the Connecting website on an ongoing basis.

What information is required?

We recommend that you have all the news, events or job posting details for your submission before you begin filling out the form. Dates, time, location, publishable contact information and registration link (if applicable) are required fields and must be filled in order to be able to submit.

What type of supplementary information does Connecting accept?

Perhaps you have images, an event flier or a full job description you would like to add as part of your submission. Here are some examples and instructions for each:

  • Event flyers: Attach as a .pdf or .doc /.docx file.

  • News Articles: Type directly into the the text field. For supplementary information, attach an editable .doc /.docx file.

  • Images: Upload as a .jpeg /.tiff /.png file.

  • Job Postings: In the in-form text box, please provide a job summary with contact information we can publish, application directions and a link to the full job description (if it is hosted on another website). You may also attach the full job description as a .doc /.docx file that can be edited. 

What file types are acceptable?

Do I need to edit and/or proofread my own submission?  

Articles that require editing will experience a delay in posting to the Connecting website. Submissions that have been edited and proofread in advance, and that include all the necessary information, can be posted faster.
