The Atlanta Journal-Constitution captured the life and calling of the Rev. Charles L. Fischer III of St. Paul’s Episcopal Church in a story published Tuesday, February 7, 2017. The state’s oldest black Episcopal Church and other congregations throughout the country are facing challenges in recent years as millennials turn away from their faith.
One generation removed from those born between 1984 and 2004, Fischer remains steadfast in his faith. It is his mission as Rector of St. Paul’s as well as his prayer as a Christian that the millennials will return to their faith and the home that gave him so much over the years.
