Ordination Of Priests

On Saturday, June 25, 2016, five Transitional Deacons were ordained to the sacred order of priesthood. The service was held at the Cathedral of St. Philip.

The Rev. Aelred Dean was ordained to the priesthood on Sunday, June 25, 2016. He has been appointed by the Bishop of Lexington to be the Minister-in-Charge of the congregation at St. Mary’s Episcopal Church in Middlesboro, KY following his ordination. Rev. Dean received a Master of Divinity from the School of Theology: University of the South in Sewanee, TN. He also holds a master’s degree in social work from Valdosta State University and a bachelor’s degree in theology from Colorado Christian University.

The Rev. Christopher Miller is a magna cum laude graduate of Coastal Carolina University in South Carolina where he received a bachelor’s degree in history and religious studies. He received a Master of Divinity degree from Emory University at the Candler School of Theology in Atlanta. He is currently serving as deacon at St. Mark’s Episcopal Church in LaGrange, GA. Rev. Miller serves as the Curate at St. Anne’s Episcopal Church and Day School.   

The Rev. Cameron O’Riley is a graduate of School of Theology: University of the South in Sewanee, TN, where she received her Master of Divinity. She also holds a master’s degree in education from State University of West Georgia, in Carrollton.The Rev. O’Riley serves as Assistant Rector at St. Patrick’s Episcopal Church in Dublin, OH.

 

The Rev. Gretchen Ratterree received her Master of Divinity degree from The General Theological Seminary in New York, and a Master of Arts in Theology from the School of Theology: University of the South in Sewanee, TN.  The Rev. Ratterree has served as youth minister at St. Peter and St. Paul in Marietta. She serves as Curate at The Episcopal Church of the Annunciation in Marietta, GA.

The Rev. Timothy Seamans received a Master of Divinity degree from Yale University in New Haven, CT; a diploma in Anglican studies and a certificate in educational leadership and ministry from the Berkeley Divinity School at Yale. The Rev. Seamans also received a Master of Arts degree in Philosophy of Religion from Chicago Theological Seminary in Illinois. He serves as the school chaplain and lower school teacher at Holy Innocents’ Episcopal Church in Atlanta where he has been since 2013. He also serves as deacon at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church in Atlanta.
