New Beginnings 41


New Beginnings is a spiritual formation retreat weekend designed for our middle school youth. New Beginnings offers a chance for youth to reflect on the important relationships in their lives and consider what "New Beginnings" they can take on in their own lives. New Beginnings is a great outing for an entire junior high youth group. 

The cost is $100 per youth, but there is scholarship available if needed.

Community Interfaith Thanksgiving Service

Come to St. Anne’s for a Community Interfaith Thanksgiving Service. We’ll pray, give thanks to God, and offer up our individual stories of gratitude as we make our way through a creative Thanksgiving Seder (Hebrew for “order”).  We’ll taste specific foods rooted in stories found in our scripture which speak to the spirit and holiness of this special gathering. A reception with baked goods cooked by our new interfaith community cooking team will be offered following the service.

Fall Festival and Artists Market Opening Reception

Ugly Pants Golf Tournament to Benefit Path to Shine®

Ugly Pants Golf Tournament and Brunch Presented by ProCom Consulting to Benefit Path to Shine Program

The Ninth Annual Ugly Pants Golf Tournament and Brunch will be held on Sunday, October 15th and Monday, October 16th.  ProCom Consulting has signed on to be the event’s presenting sponsor.  Path To Shine® is a unique after-school mentoring and tutoring program for at-risk and under-served children. “There is no greater cause than working to help disadvantaged or at-risk children become healthy productive adults.  Through no fault of their own, they have been challenged in life during their formative years and deserve a break.  We are honored to have the opportunity to assist Path To Shine with this important mission,” commented Curtis Mills, CEO – ProCom Consulting.

The two-day event begins with a brunch at St. Benedict’s Episcopal Church on Sunday, October 15th and golf tournament at Dogwood Golf Club of Atlanta on Monday, October 16th.  A highlight of the golf tournament is the “Ugly Pants” contest, this year to be judged by the Episcopal Bishop of Atlanta, the Rt. Rev. Robert C. Wright. Bidding on silent auction items occurs during both events.  Tickets for the brunch are $10 per person and $30 per family.  There is no charge for children eight and under. About Path to Shine
Path To Shine® is a unique after-school mentoring and tutoring program for at-risk and under-served children. Join us for a showing of the film 13th on Wednesday, October 4, at 6 pm. 13th explores the intersection of race, justice, and mass incarceration in the United States. There will be a discussion following the film, facilitated by Beth King and Canon Zappa. You can pick up dinner at the Farmers’ Market on your way to the Gould Room! Though it's a parish event, it's open to anyone who wants to come!

St. Bede's Fiesta Latino

Join us for games, a bouncy house for the children, and community fun. We will be selling authentic Mexican and Latino food to raise money for our refugees and immigrants fund. Your help will enable us to assist immediate needs of mothers and children when fathers face deportation. You may enjoy lunch with us in the picnic area by the big cross or buy food to go.  All are welcome!
