Intergenerational Oral History Project: A Screening Showcase of Elder and Youth Exchange and Dialogue (Free)

  • The Absalom Jones Center for Racial Healing 807 Atlanta Student Movement Boulevard Atlanta, GA, 30314 United States (map)

This screening culminates a six- week summer program which paired African American elders together with a diverse group of youngsters in the age range of 15-17. The elders have shared their stories with particular emphases on the ways in which they have navigated the racial divide. The young people have conducted, recorded, and produced video interviews with the elders and will reveal their wok and experience during this screening.

Come see the best of two generations coming together to learn and share from one another, developing new friendships, closing the generational gap through one-on-one interviews, taped and edited by the youth.

The youth participants have prepared a wonderful program to showcase this important work. Refreshments will be served. Please RSVP and spread the word. We look forward to seeing you there!
