Dances for Peace: A Service of Pentecost with Dances and Songs

  • 634 West Peachtree Street NW Atlanta, GA 30308 (map)

At our Pentecost service this year, we will celebrate the birthday of the church with a multicultural, intergenerational celebration to give thanks for the beautiful diversity of the human family in all its forms.

We will fuse movement with multicultural worship as refugee friends who participate in our Refugee Ministries program from East and Central Africa, the Middle East, Bhutan/Nepal, and Myanmar lead us in the dance and song.

Don’t forget to wear red (the color of Pentecost) and come share in the beauty and joy of the celebration!

Following our Dances for Peace service, we will continue our celebration of the birthday of the church during our Parish Picnic with international flair. Enjoy great food, fun entertainment (including a fire dancer), and even a visit from local firemen in their firetruck. The cost of lunch is $10.00 for adults and $5.00 for children ages 3-12. RSVP at the Parish Life table on Sunday mornings or online at No need to pay if you don’t plan to eat lunch at the picnic; you are welcome to come and just enjoy the entertainment and fellowship.
