A Continuing Education Event for Clergy and all Ministers of Children and Youth of the Episcopal Diocese of Atlanta and all other interested persons. Sponsored by the Safe Church Program of the Diocese of Atlanta.
You have an opportunity to BE the difference for LGBTQ+ persons who experience alienation, hate, discrimination by cultivating a parish and larger church environment that is safe for all children and youth, including those who are LGBTQ+ so that they can live out their diversity of gender identities and expressions.
Morning session led by: Simeon Bruce, a trans male Episcopalian and member of All Saint's and a founding member of the Atlanta Diocese's Commission of LGBTQ+ Ministries. Afternoon session includes a time of sharing from a panel of transgender young adults and parents of a transgender child who are members of parishes in our diocese and time for identifying resources of "Safe/Inclusive Practices" in which your parish or ministry setting can better seek to serve and support LGBTQ+ children and youth and their families.
