ON THE PILGRIMS' WAY: Discovering the Historic Beauty and Rich Tradition of Christianity in the British Isles

Would you like to deepen your appreciation of the Episcopal/Anglican tradition while enriching your faith? How about seeing some of the most beautiful, history-soaked places in England, with a touch of Scotland? For all English-speaking Christians, not just Episcopalians, a pilgrimage to the U.K. is a unique opportunity to connect to the roots of our faith, which came to the British Isles surprisingly early – perhaps only a century after Christ. Invite your friends and come join me as we make a pilgrimage – from the far south all the way to the Scottish border – exploring the great cathedrals, abbeys, and other sites - at least one very important pub included(!) - crucial to our inheritance of the faith Jesus “once delivered to the apostles.”

Though we'll be getting around by bus & train, not walking for days like medieval pilgrims (save for a couple hours on St. Cuthbert's Way for those who are able), we'll nonetheless treat this trip as a pilgrimage:  a chance not only to see wonderful sites & scenery, learn some fascinating history, and truly enjoy the companionship of friends, but to renew our faith, mainly through worshipping in some of these historic places, where Christians have prayed, sung, and shared the Eucharist for centuries upon centuries.
