Advocacy Workshop

Advocacy for Anyone! Make a difference by sharing your story.

If you are concerned about issues like mental health, criminal justice, mass incarceration, the death penalty, domestic violence, equal rights, racism and immigration to name a few, now is the time to get involved.

The Georgia Legislative Session begins January 8th, 2018. Be prepared to contact your policy maker with calls, emails and in-person meetings. Learn to tell them the issues and facts important to you so they will listen and act. Speak up for those who struggle to speak for themselves. Not interested in politics? You can be an advocate in many venues—learn the skills and see where they lead you!

Join us at one of our two sessions, held January 10th and 17th from 7:00 PM - 8:30 PM. Light refreshments and resource handouts will be provided, free of charge.

Please contact Tommie Thompson by January 10th and let him know if you're coming (tommiet@pobox.com or 678-481-6025).
