Hart Readers September 7 Selection: Between Heaven and Mirth

The Cathedral Book Store, located at the Cathedral of St. Philip, invites you to participate in Hart Readers, a community reading group with participants and discussion leaders from various churches in our community. Carroll Keen, a member of the Cathedral of Christ the King, will lead the September reading group on Thursday, September 7, from 6:30 – 7:30 p.m. The book being discussed is Between Heaven and Mirth, by James Martin, which explores how a healthy spirituality and a healthy sense of humor go hand-in-hand with God’s great plan for humankind.

Hart Readers meets on the first Thursday of the month (except during Lent and the summer), from 6:30-7:30 pm, in the Walthour Library at the Cathedral of St. Philip to discuss contemporary books and issues from a theological perspective. Upcoming books for discussion include The Spiritual Child: The New Science on Parenting for Health and Lifelong Thriving, by Dr. Lisa Miller, and The Last Ballad by Wiley Cash.
