The Rev. Trish Greeves, local author of “Prophetic Faith” comes to St. Benedict’s - June 11th
St. Benedict’s is proud to host Rev. Trish Greeves, retired seminary professor at United Theological Seminary and local author of “Prophetic Faith: Exploring Social Justice Advocacy as a Congregation” on Sunday, June 11 at 9:30 am in parish hall.
For the past 7 Sundays, we have been exploring the biblical call for social justice and how we can respond. Some of the topics addressed include the political implications of biblical faith; public and private arenas for expressing faith; the difference between systemic change for justice and social outreach for charity; and how social justice advocacy strengthens our faith. It will be a treat to have Rev. Trish Greeves in our discussions!
Please join us in the parish hall at 9:00 am for coffee and bagels, 9:30 for a roundtable discussion with Trish and join us for worship at 10:30 in the Nave for Eucharist. St. Benedict’s Episcopal Church is located at 2160 Cooper Lake Road in Smyrna, GA 30080, 678-279-4300.
